DanyMac IT Services
Refund, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
This policy explains how cancellations, refunds and rescheduling are handled for DanyMac IT services and support bookings.
1. General Policy
DanyMac aims to provide reliable and professional IT support. Cancellation and refund arrangements depend on the type of service booked, whether work has started, whether a technician has been dispatched and whether third-party costs have already been incurred.
2. Cancellation Before Work Starts
Where a customer cancels a service before work has started and before a technician has been dispatched, DanyMac may provide a refund of amounts paid, subject to any applicable transaction, processing or other reasonable costs and applicable law.
3. Cancellation After Dispatch
If a technician has already been dispatched to an onsite appointment, the customer may be responsible for reasonable call-out, travel or attendance costs that have already been incurred.
4. Cancellation After Work Has Started
If DanyMac has already started providing the service, the customer remains responsible for charges relating to work already performed, subject to applicable consumer rights and the agreed quotation or pricing.
5. Urgent and After-Hours Bookings
Urgent, same-day, emergency and after-hours bookings may require DanyMac to allocate resources outside normal operating hours. Reasonable cancellation or attendance charges may therefore apply where resources have already been committed or a technician has been dispatched.
6. Onsite Call-Out Fees
An onsite call-out fee covers professional attendance and initial troubleshooting. Payment of a call-out fee does not guarantee that the reported fault will be completely resolved during the first visit.
Current DanyMac service pricing
Standard onsite call-out: R750
Urgent / same-day call-out: R1,000
After-hours urgent call-out: R1,250
Additional standard onsite hour: R650/hr
Additional emergency / after-hours hour: R850/hr
7. Rescheduling
Customers may request that an appointment be rescheduled. DanyMac will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request, subject to technician availability and the urgency of the service.
8. DanyMac Cancellation
If DanyMac is unable to provide a booked service and no suitable alternative appointment can be arranged, DanyMac will work with the customer to provide an appropriate refund or alternative arrangement, subject to applicable law.
9. Services Requiring Third-Party Support
Some IT problems require assistance from software vendors, manufacturers, internet service providers, cloud providers or other third parties. Charges for work already performed by DanyMac may still apply even where the final resolution depends on a third party.
10. Faulty or Unsatisfactory Services
If a customer believes that a service was not performed properly, the customer should contact DanyMac as soon as reasonably possible. DanyMac will assess the complaint and, where appropriate, will be given a reasonable opportunity to remedy the service in accordance with applicable law.
11. IT Shop Products
Products purchased through the DanyMac IT Shop may be subject to separate product return, refund and warranty requirements. Product-related refunds will be handled in accordance with the applicable terms, manufacturer warranty and South African consumer protection requirements.
12. Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved, the method and timing of the refund may depend on the original payment method and the relevant payment provider. DanyMac will communicate the applicable refund process to the customer.
13. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove, restrict or replace any consumer right or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable South African law.
